The founder of LUMI envisioned a line of adaptogenic mushroom blends that could resonate with both American and Mexican audiences. The challenge was creating a brand that felt authentic to Mexican craft traditions while competing in the modern wellness market avoiding the clinical aesthetics typical in the adaptogen space.



Design Solution

Developed an analog-inspired identity celebrating Mexican papel picado traditions. Hand-cut cardboard shapes in brand colors, scanned and digitized to create unique symbols for each product variant. Extracted vibrant hues directly from adaptogenic mushroom ingredients: red and lavender for Energy, dark brown and cream for Clarity, blues for Calm, greens for Immunity. Created a chunky, tactile logo that mimics hand-cut paper and doubles as a pattern element. Built comprehensive guidelines with flexible templates that empower the client to maintain the handcrafted feel while scaling independently.
